Domus Colosseo Roof Garden was recommended in the article written about Rome by Andrea Petersen, published in the “Wall Street Journal” (June 2010)
My friends and I were looking for a central place to stay in Rome prior to attending a wedding in Sicily. Rather than stay in a hotel, we wanted to stay together so that people could come and go as they please while making it easy to coordinate various activities. This property was absolutely ideal for our needs. It is central to all the sites (we walked everywhere!). Every day we would do our sightseeing, and when we were winding down for the day, we would make our way back to the apartment, grab some wine/bread/cheese, and sit on the rooftop garden while watching the sunset and laugh about the day's events before we made our way back out for dinner. It's so nice to have an apartment with a kitchen and basic amenities so you can grab some groceries and avoid spending a fortune on simple things like bottled water like you would in a hotel. I don't know where else in Rome we could have gotten such a spectacular 360 degree view of the city. The owners were SO nice, and went out of their way to help us above and beyond just renting the apartment for a few days. I would recommend this to any group of friends, family, etc. If I ever go back to Rome with a group of people again, I will be checking to see if this property is available.

Superb apartment in every aspect. Wonderful views, great neighborhood, very clean & good - we really felt "at home" in a welcoming way. All amenities you could wish, also the internet is very helpful in planning trips & days. We could feel the loving care of the owners in every detail of the house. The apartment is spacious and very good for a group of people. With 3 terraces you can enjoy the views and weather outside. But we, a group of 7 (parents, grandparents and 3 teenagers) had rainy winterweather, and even then the house was wonderful: quiet, private, with room enough to make everyone feel comfortable without embarrassing each other too much. Wonderful neighbourhood, we really loved it: the Colosseum and busstops around the corner, yet quite 'withdrawn' from the tourists. It has good places to eat and very nice and friendly people; supermarket 50 meters, bars and gelateria around the corner. Park and kids playground in front of the apartment. We sure are longing to go back!

This apartment has an unbelievably convenient location, a well-equipped kitchen (also plenty of dishes), is exactly as represented on this website, is beautifully maintained, and has a very pleasant and accommodating owner. It also has a discount grocery store in the same block, which is a plus because it is in an expensive area. Although it has a lovely indoor dining area, we did not eat a single meal there because the outdoor terrace is so beautiful. It overlooks a city park and the Palatine Hill complex so there is a wide, expansive view. There is also an amazing view of the Colosseum from the upstairs room and terrace. Having this peaceful and cool home to return to during our one week summer stay made dealing with the heat and hustle/bustle of Rome completely manageable for our group of 10 who ranged in age to 76. Three sets of keys meant we could split up and do exactly what we wanted. The central location meant we could come home in the middle of the day for lunch and a rest before heading out again. It's not possible to over recommend this apartment.

"Perfect location, perfect apartment, even perfect hosts! Thank you for letting my tours stay here in your wonderful place! It is exquisite. It was wonderful getting to now you in person and sharing time on the rooftop terrace painting with my Mom! Also, thank you so much for letting us stay out of the rain a little longer when Rome was almost at a stand still with water! I look forward to seeing you again in 2012 with the next tours!"

"Piękny apartament w pełni wyposażony. Spędziliśmy w nim wygodnie tydzień. Od pierwszego dnia czuliśmy sie jak w domu. Właściciele życzliwi i taktowni. Przygotowali dossier z kompletem informacji na temat Rzymu (mapki, godziny otwarcia muzeów, wizytówki restauracji itp.) Był nawet na DVD o zabytkach Rzymu oraz "Rzymskie wakacje" w 5 językach. Bellissimo appartamento in cui abbiamo trascorso comodamente 7 giorni. Ci siamo subito sentiti come a casa nostra.
